Coldline project winter support for 2008-09
|
Many pensioner households will struggle to pay their fuel bills! The winter can be a difficult time for all and can create particularly problems for vulnerable groups in our community particularly if you suffer with poor health.
Many vulnerable groups are at risk from the cold and are more likely to suffer with coughs, colds and influenza. The flu virus attacks the cells in the respiratory tract. Flu symptoms can hit you suddenly and severely, they usually include fever, chills, headaches and aching muscles. It's advisable to seek advice from your GP and to get a flu jab to help protect you. If you require more information contact NHS Direct 0845 4647 or NHS Direct. |
